With it’s powerful 250W Mid-Drive motor, the aptly named Central quietly and smoothly assists your pedalling up to a speed of 15.5mph (legal requirement in the UK).
After which you can continue to pedal yourself to whatever speed your legs can carry you using the Shimano EZ Fire 7 speed transmission. The 36V/6.6Ah battery uses quality cells, granting an approximate range of up to 60km* and to take care of stopping we’ve fitted powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Not only does this bike allow you to get places quicker, and stop with confidence, it will do it all while you’re sat in comfort! We’ve chosen a well padded comfort saddle, gel filled grips, full length mudguards and an easy to adjust handlebar stem so that you can find a comfortable riding position and cycle in any clothes you like without worry of getting a muddy stripe up your back.
We’ve been working very closely with Danish brand Promovec, to bring you our all new Dawes Central electric bike. Not only do Promovec develop and produce high quality electric componentry, they also pride themselves in after service that is second to none. As such they have a dedicated UK Service agent that can handle all queries/claims via your retailer. Not only that, but we’re also that confident in the quality of the Promovec motor and battery system that this model comes with an extended warranty as standard; 3 years motor warranty, 2 year battery warranty (batteries must be registered at https://promovec.com/)
* The quoted range of any electric bike is for guidance only. Exact range depends on several variables such as rider weight, cycling conditions, battery condition, etc. When received, the battery will be in “sleep” mode, initially we recommend charging for 24hrs, afterwhich you can charge on regular intervals (just like with your mobile phone!). Full charge time takes approx 4-5hrs, but we also recommend you never run the battery completely flat
